Code Enforcement Officer - Floodplain Management Officer Harrison County Commission. 



The Office of the Harrison County Commission is accepting applications for the full-time benefited position of Code Enforcement Officer–Floodplain Management Officer. 

Individual will be responsible to: Provide information and assistance to citizens regarding land use regulations, property maintenance regulations, floodplain requirements and other building or construction ordinances, review land use and construction activities for compliance to governing regulations and ordinances, process and follow-up on location improvement permits and other duties as assigned. The successful applicant should possess the ability to deal with the public; writing and research skills; computer knowledge and skills; technical education or knowledge and ability to understand construction related documents. Applicant should have an appropriate degree in a job related technical field of study and/or combination of education and experience that would allow for the successful completion of the job functions. Successful applicant will be subject to a background investigation. Applications are due on or before the close of business on Monday, December 23, 2013. Position will remain open until filled.
